Judo is a form of wrestling which can be practiced
as a competitive sport, exercise or self-defense method. Exertion
level is moderate to strenuous.
Judo classes involve a thorough workout for
strength, flexibility and cardio-vascular fitness. Students learn
techniques of falling safely as well as how to throw an opponent
and control him on the mat. For those who are so inclined there
is an opportunity for strenuous tournament play.
