Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) combines the techniques of
submission wrestling, Kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Whether it’s done for competition, self-defense,
or just a great workout, MMA is the fastest-growing martial art
in the world today! Participants learn the skills of MMA striking
(punches, Kicks, elbow and knee strikes, defense, clinching, and
footwork), the fundamentals of wrestling (takedowns, pins, mat control,
takedown defense, and escapes), and the world-renown, practical,
devastatingly effective submission techniques( chokes, armlocks,
shoulder locks, knee-bars, ankle-locks, heel hooks, and neck cranks)
of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
The class is taught in a safe, relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Beginners are welcome. Sparring is optional, but hard work is mandatory!
