This program teaches self-defense and safety
for children, with particular emphasis on abduction prevention
and dealing with bullying. Schedule varies.
"Stranger Danger": Children
are taught the common lures pedophiles are known to use on children,
and how to deal with them. Through role-playing and practice, they
learn effective verbal, tactical, and physical skills to prevent
abduction.
"Bully Busters": Children
learn how to verbally defuse a confrontaion, how to resist aggression
safely and non-violently whenever possible,
and how and when to use physical force if necessary. Benefits
This program teaches children about the reality
of "stranger danger" in a practical but non-frightening
way. Children enjoy the role-playing and learn potentially life-saving
skills. "Bully Busters" teaches how to deal effectively
with bullying, a problem that all children will probably experience
at some point.
